Eleven years ago my husband (Pastor Ahlemeyer) and I traveled to Haiti to meet Pastor Bernard and have him baptize our children at Good Shepherd. They were 2 and 6 months old and would remain in Haiti for another 5 months to complete adoption paperwork. Pastor Bernard was behind in paying his teachers and concerned with keeping his school open. We were living in Colorado where Lutheran churches are sparse.
As I look back on God's rich blessings over the past 11 years all I can say is a huge thank you for the love and support you have shown our children, Pastor Bernard, Good Shepherd and the people of Haiti.I was amazed at the generous donations that made this school building and trip possible. Thanks to all the mission team members for giving of their time and talents. Thanks to our Trinity mission committe for serving for over 10 years. I especially want to thank Pastor Rodriguez for all his time and organization to make this trip come together. This is an incredible blessing for Timothy to travel with his dad and return to the country where he lived his first three years. God's love comes full circle!

It is us who have been Blessed with The Ahlemeyer Family in our midst and for bring Pastor Bernard into our lives. I can't fathom what our lives would be like without you all in them.
Prayers for all our mission workers to safely return but also to bring witness to the people of Haiti of GOD's love for them.

Looking forward to seeing your progress, and kicking myself for not going along. Tell Matt that Haiti needs a Mary Poppins.
Somewhere in Port au Prince, the Seymour Rotary has 2 or 3 ShelterBox tents that we purchased in 2010. If you see any white tents with the Rotary logo, take a picture for me!
