Sunday Worship & Library Dedication

2/9/2014

Another amazing day here in Haiti.  Brilliant worship service wherein the Lord was glorified in Word and song.  We were honored to be so graciously hosted not only in church but then at a lunch after church that included some uplifting fellowship time with the members of Pastor Bernard's congregation.

Following worship we were honored to be present and participate in the school's dedication of the new school library.  Pastor Bernard spoke and the instructors led some of the school children in songs, speeches, and dramatic presentations for the congregation to celebrate the opening of the new library!

Our time here in Haiti is growing short, but we are confident that the ministry that has been accomplished here will carry across the ocean and energize the churches in Jackson County to continue supporting missions across the world and in their own back yards.--Matt Nieman

Loved the pictures!Seeing Timothy standing with Pastor Bernard reminded me of his baptism in the same church 11 years ago, when Pastor Bernard held Timothy and brought him into the kingdom of God. Just wish Shella and I could have been there as well. Have a great last day! Can't wait to see everybody and hear all the stories!

All praise and thanks be to God for the grace shown to His people in Haiti. We thank God for Pastor Bernard and his faithful proclamation of the Gospel and thank God for bringing Jackson County and the people of Haiti together.

What a wonderful experience to be there for the dedication of the library! That must be quite a thrill for the entire travel group. Our prayers continue for all of you.

I saw Bibliotheque on the building and wondered if it was a library! Are their books in English, French or Haitian Creole? Any chance of being able to do a book drive for their collection? This librarian is really excited about this and wants to go on the next Jackson Co trip down there.

Wow...God has certainly spoke volumes in the photos coming back from Haiti. I cannot wait to ask Timothy what it was like being in the church he was baptized in. To see all of those from our community entwined with those of Haiti shows us how small our big world truly is in the eyes of those there. To worship and praise the same God where ever you may be, in what ever language that speaks His word, and singing in another language unknown to us proves that God does hear and knows every prayer. His blessings have abounded over Haiti this week to bring all as one in His name. Once again I give thanks, praise, and glory to God for this wonderful mission.

I'm glad to see these pictures from yesterday, and I know you had a good experience. Wish it would have been possible for me to be with you yesterday and today, but I'm at work readjusting to the change in atmosphere and temperature. Hope y'all have a nice time at the beach today!

It has been wonderful seeing all of the blog posts and pictures of the hard working team. Great to see all of you pictured at Pastor
Bernard's church. It was wonderful to see Pastor Bernard with my grandson Timothy 10 + years after his baptism. God be with you on the return flight home.
